The Unity One applications allow mobile operators to enhance existing revenue streams or build new revenue streams by advertising products, services and offers directly to the mobile consumer. The exclusive channel offered to the Operator through the Unity application – when they are mobile (via the mobile) or when they are at a location (via the PC) - makes it possible to reach the customer and to contextualize advertising in Unified Contacts, Calendar, the Unified Inbox or any other future Unity Application (e.g. Vault) to greatly increase the relevance of the message or offer and therefore click-through rates.

In addition to the opportunity to target new mobile products the Unity One eco-system may be used to enable third parties advertising to the consumer on the move. In this context, advertising is not simply placing banners on the mobile or PC browser screen – although this is a feature of the capability – as Unity One utilises the in-app real estate within the contact list, calendar, the inbox and other apps. Used intelligently, the Operator can utilise this extensive – and highly relevant – real estate to maximise the value of their relationship with the customer and also present a valuable proposition to 3rd party advertisers and affiliates.
